Resources for our kids?

Finding ways to bring up children of faith while avoiding the parts of Christianity I don't want in their lives is not easy. Anyone want to share resources?

Children of God Storybook Bible by Archbishop Desmond Tutu is a hit here for sure. It focuses on the good - so when Adam and Eve leave the Garden he adds in that they were still loved and cared for, etc. Really neat artwork as well. We tried the audio version in the car but my kids had trouble understanding Archbishop Tutu's accent. Who is My Neighbor? This book was really nice, and retells the lesson of the good samaritan. My kids liked it.

Maybe God is Like That Too. This one was really neat - all about seeing God's love in everyday life.

Also, I really wish I could feel comfortable sending the kids to something like Awanas. My church has a really nice children's program sunday mornings, and an active although small youth group, but I'd love something like Awanas without the heavy emphasis on literalism, sin, etc.

Anyone used it and found it compatible with their own values?
