Pronghorn
I am working on FAFSA. I think the question is #29, where it asks you to say where you will be in college. It has a first-year-never-been-to-college and a first-year-been-to-college option. How would you handle this for a student who has done a dual enrollment class? Technically she HAS been to college, but perhaps dual enrollment does not count for the purpose of this question. Any thoughts?
RootAnn
First year never been to college. https://www.edvisors.com/fafsa/forms/tutorial/student-demographic-info/grade-level/ DE doesn't count.
Lori D.
Check out this step-by-step FAFSA help from Nitro. For that question, FAFSA is looking for the student's highest grade level as far as college financial aid. Your student will be a college freshman, so no, dual enrollment does not factor into this question, as high school student dual enrollment is not eligible for college financial aid.
