j_thurm
This would be for older middle school. Or any science video curriculum that is somewhat fun :) Thanks!
kristin0713
I'm getting Exploring Education for next year. They lesson is a video, the project is hands-on, and there is a log book to fill out. We are doing VP self-paced history, too. https://www.explorationeducation.com
j_thurm
Thanks for the idea!!! I did look at that and tried it with my older child but the experiments were difficult for my non-science child to complete....it was probably just not her learning style. MDL
Have you checked out Guest Hollow’s kitchen chemistry? Its not video, perse, but the schedule includes many videos. My guy loves it as much as a 13 yo boy can?
j_thurm
Great idea! Thank you! How much teacher involvement/time is there for the Guest Hollow kitchen chemistry? Thanks!
kristin0713
As I'm continuing to research science, I remembered BJU video lessons: http://www.bjupresshomeschool.com/category/Video-Lessons?ref=Shop# Assuming you are ok with Christian programs if you are using VP. Oh, and Abeka has video courses, too: https://www.abeka.com/Academic/Courses/
j_thurm
Thanks! Great idea! I forgot about them. I did look at those links you posted but I think my daughter would enjoy those too much. Any other ideas?
domestic_engineer
Supercharged science? http://www.superchargedscience.com
carrierocha
FWIW - Exploration Education does not have video lessons, I don't think. We used it this year and it was online text. My kids liked to use a plugin for Chrome and have the text read to them in the very robot-y voice of the plugin, but no video instruction that we encountered. Clear Creek
Uzinggo is all video/interactive digital lessons, and my youngest (going into 6th grade) finds it fun. Homeschool Buyers Co-op has a pretty good deal on it right now.
Carolinagirl1
BJU Distance Learning Online (if you're ok with a Christian based science) is awesome! ETA: if you like VP History, then obviously you're ok with Christian based. We use VP History and BJU Science.
