FriedClams
I have a motivated student... Good in math... Completed Saxon through Advanced Math, then earned an easy A in DE (on campus) precalc. She'd like to take calc 2 DE in the fall. I can't find a DE sooner calculus 1 that's not a May-mester, and I think calculus should be marinated in for longer than a month. So - if she started DO calculus starting 1 March, would it be reasonable for her to finish before 1 August? She's a future engineer type and plans to retake calculus 1 and 2 as a freshman. Any prior user's help would be hugely appreciated!!! Thanks!!! Edited February 25, 2018 by FriedClams
Julie of KY
Derek Owens Calculus is basically Calculus 1 for college. If she can go at a college pace, then she should have no problem starting DO calculus now and finishing within 5 months. It's be a decent pace, but my boys could do it.
hopskipjump
Agreeing with Julie. My oldest dd took DO Calc I and could have done it in a semester if she'd been motivated to do so.
EKS
She should easily be able to finish DO calculus in that amount of time.
