Peaceseeker
I am looking for a health book for ages 12-14 (6th-8th grade). Something that covers exercise, nutrition, maybe a little bit of biology/basic reproduction overview though I have done a bit of that separately so it's ok if that part is not there. Any suggestions for a textbook or other book I can use as a spine? Edited January 3, 2018 by CaliforniaDreaming
Sneezyone
I have Glencoe Teen Health (the red one) on my shelf. It's secular, thorough, and factual without being graphic. It covers general health, wellness, nutrition, exercise, human development (life-cycle) and reproductive systems (no sex), heredity, drugs and alcohol, STDs, and refusal skills. J-rap
Religious or secular? I was wondering this too.
EKS
I'd just use a high school health text. We used Health: Making Life Choices (McGraw Hill) which at the time claimed to be the only textbook on the market that included human sexuality in the main text (the others all had supplements). So if you don't want sexuality, don't use that one (though from what I remember, it wasn't graphic or anything).
