Moxie
I make hard candy every year. This year, one batch didn’t turn out. It was broken into pieces but the have all reformed into one, solid blob. I assume I looked at the thermometer wrong and it didn’t get up to temp. Anyway, can I reheat this colored, flavored blob to the right temp to make hard candy? I hate waste.
marbel
Did you make it on a humid day? That's when my hard candy always failed. I don't know about reheating it. Worth a try.

Miss Tick
That IS a hard candy question! Harhar. I've done it. It worked out, hopefully it does for you too. If you accidentally go too far in the hardness direction, DH was able to salvage that for me by microwaving it and pouring it on popped popcorn. We had a lot of caramel corn that year! I think I had gotten a new thermometer that year and overcooked an embarrassing number of batches.
