klmama
I'm kicking myself here. I just cleaned out some piles of papers and discovered a couple of applications for local scholarships that dc would have had a very good chance at receiving IF dc had only applied. I've added them to the high school do-list I'm putting together for my youngest. The topics don't change significantly from year to year, so I will assign these as writing assignments during sophomore or junior year; then, in dc's senior year, they'll just need a little revision. ETA: Hooray! I just looked up the scholarship websites, and I discovered college students can apply, too. I know what dc will be doing during that month off at Christmas.... klmama
These were local and wouldn't apply to anyone outside of our area. There's a website called fastweb that has a huge list, but be prepared to be inundated with emails unless you opt out.
