IndigoGlitter
LOL.. I ahve this recipe I want to make... any way to modify it for the IP or can I just cook with it on Saute? https://www.budgetbytes.com/2016/01/cheesy-vegetarian-chili-mac/
Arctic Bunny
Oh no my dear! There are some changes to make though!
Arctic Bunny
Thickening with flour at the beginning isn't a good idea. You don't want thick liquid trying to vent out, or start burning to the bottom and overheating.. So, I would thicken it with cornstarch after, if needed. Next... time and liquid... Arctic Bunny
I would look here for an example of times... looks like 10 minutes is ideal for the beans... https://www.dadcooksdinner.com/pressure-cooker-quick-chili-with-canned-beans/
Arctic Bunny
But that 5 minutes is ideal for the macaroni. And it looks like there was 2 c liquid added to your recipe? You might not need to thicken it at all! Saute, add everything else, including uncooked macaroni, and go 5 min, then do a natural release. Tullia
I don't have an Instant Pot and hadn't even heard about them till I was browsing here last night, but later I came across Jillee's cheat sheet. I've used her cleaning supplies recipes and never been disappointed--they work as advertised. I do not need another kitchen appliance... I do not need another...well maybe this one's worth checking out!

ILiveInFlipFlops
For the future, what I've done when I have recipes I want to convert for the IP is search the FB community and/or search on Google for the "recipe name + instant pot." You'll usually come up with some tried-and-true IP-specific versions, and then you can tweak one to use the ingredients in your recipe. Good luck!
