linders
In need of an online elective class... DS14 attends a B&M private school, entering 9th. He has 6 classes there and wants to add in a 7th. He is especially good at math - 4th in state, will take Alg II this coming year - and is looking at an engineering career (if the whole stand up comedy thing doesn't work out - he is also involved in drama and improv and thinks Seth Myers is amazing.) The school said they would pay for (almost) anything I can find online. So, he asked about an online Intro to Engineering class. Anyone know of something? Julie of KY
Has he done anything like AoPS Intro to Counting and Probability?
Mama Geek
What about an AutoCad class, not sure of what is good online. A programming class is another option.
FriedClams
The Aeroscholar's aero 1 is an easy, interesting elective and intro to private pilot class. Both my kids enjoyed it.
MarkT
I know nothing about it, but U of NE-Lincoln has one: https://highschoolstore.nebraska.edu/p-1699-tech019-pre-engineering.aspx https://highschoolstore.nebraska.edu/p-1605-tech003-introduction-to-technology.aspx TECH003: Introduction to Technology that is NOT Engineering IMHO there have been a few threads in past
housemouse
catapultea.com might fit the bill. There is Intro to SolidWorks and MATLab courses and 2 other which I can't remember top of my head. Courses were designed for high school students by an engineering professor.
