fairfarmhand
Sweet Susan has been diagnosed with mastitis. I've dealt with it in my cow before. Has anyone had experience with this in their dog? We've got her on oral abx. It's not fun or easy to get the pills in her. She's not eating ANYTHING so we can't sneak them into her food. We're just trying to get them down her throat. She's still letting the pups nurse, but I know it has to hurt. We also have some pain pills for her. If we can get them inside her.... Poor Poor Susie! mmasc
Awe, poor sweet Susan. :( I feel sad for her, but can't give any advice unfortunately. If she won't take the pills, could they give her an antibiotic injection?

ktgrok
I'd put the pill in peanut butter and stick it to the roof of her mouth if ou can....they tend to not spit it out as easily that way. Poor thing! Antibiotics will help and making sure the puppies nurse frequently.
