Home schooling in VT?

I've been homeschooling in Vermont for 13 years.  It's awesome.  Yes to the letter of intent (a series of forms, actually) to homeschool and an assessment or portfolio review, but if it's for your first 2 years homeschooling in VT or your child is 12 you need to do a bit more.  Contact the state homeschool department for info, they are wonderful to work with.  Truly!

Good luck!

I'm in VT too. Yes to what Peso said - the regulations aren't too onerous, especially after you've completed 2 years. Before that, you also have to send in your curriculum plan for the year.

Are you on the Vermont Homeschoolers FB page?

Thanks! I am not on that FB page, but I will look for it. At this point I am just researching homeschool laws as possible moving opportunities arise.
