JessReplanted
Is anyone home schooling in VT? From what I can find, requirements look like a yearly letter of enrollment and then a yearly assessment?
JessReplanted
There is no one here from Vermont? Wow 😱
Amy in NH
Yes, there are people here from Vermont. Perhaps they are spending time with their families today.
Peso
I've been homeschooling in Vermont for 13 years. It's awesome. Yes to the letter of intent (a series of forms, actually) to homeschool and an assessment or portfolio review, but if it's for your first 2 years homeschooling in VT or your child is 12 you need to do a bit more. Contact the state homeschool department for info, they are wonderful to work with. Truly! Good luck! Edited April 23, 2017 by Peso
AmandaVT
I'm in VT too. Yes to what Peso said - the regulations aren't too onerous, especially after you've completed 2 years. Before that, you also have to send in your curriculum plan for the year. Are you on the Vermont Homeschoolers FB page?

At this point I am just researching homeschool laws as possible moving opportunities arise.
