ssavings
We got Barton Level 1 in the mail today (woo-hoo!).There was a flyer included for the Imagine Reading Games, that, from the little flyer, follow the Barton scope & sequence and provide extra practice. They're not cheap, but I'm willing to pay for them if they'll provide reinforcement in a way that's less discouraging.Anyone have any experience with these?nks,Meg
OneStepAtATime
I got them but found them not nearly as useful for the price as the Spelling Success games. I don't think you need games for Level 1 (are there games for Level 1? LOL Not even sure...), but having game support for the other levels, especially Level 3 and above, can be really helpful. A poster on here, imagine.more, also has some games you can make yourself for much cheaper than the Imagine games. I will see if I can find her link to her blog... Here is the Spelling Success website: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=spelling+success
Jenn in CA
I agree w/OneStep. They are also a pain to cut out. They're Bingo, and a simple board game, and my girls do enjoy them. But the Spelling Success games are much cheaper, and they're glossy heavy cards like "real cards".
PeterPan
Haven't tried Imagine Reading, but I agree the Spelling Success games are TERRIFIC. You really can't go wrong with them. Seriously. Like just buy 'em. You'll wait, buy 'em later, and then kick yourself that you didn't do it earlier. :)
