BizyPenguin
Sycamore Tree is an online accredited school. They are Christian based, but also have a secular program. HTH!
Tokyomarie
NorthStar Academy is a great option for a Christian, online accredited school. NSA holds a regional accreditation. Most of their courses include a textbook together with lesson materials downloaded through their secure server as their main instruction. Teachers are available by email, which goes through a secure server. Assignments are sent back and forth by email. There are message boards available for the student and parent. Some teachers also give assignments that require interaction on a class message board. There are no class meetings, however. Many of the students are living outside North America, so if that is a major reason for this friend with the need for an online school, she should check out NSA. NSA is not of a classical bent per se, but I would like to point out for someone who leans in that direction that they do offer Latin and Logic. NSA also offers a selection of AP courses if that is of interest. My second daughter took individual classes through NSA and we were happy for the most part with our experience. mcconnellboys
Bob Jones University and Abeka are a couple of other big ones I can think of off the top of my head, Regena
Ellie
Bob Jones University and Abeka are a couple of other big ones I can think of off the top of my head, Regena Neither BJUP's Academy of Home Education nor ABeka Academy is on-line. ABeka Academy is accredited, though.
