ktgrok
So, since we are looking for a new dog, along with looking on pet finder, talking to rescue groups, etc I'm skimming the local ads on craigslist. And there are so many scammers!!! Ones that use photos that google image serach shows me are used around the country in other ads. Or people who will act as if they are local but then after discussion say they are out of state but they will ship the dog to you within hours, just send them some money and trust them. Or a "rescue" that doesn't spay or neuter and won't say how they got the dogs and stop replying to you if you ask too many questions. Grr. People suck sometimes! creekland
Our local news just ran this as a scam alert. It definitely seems like it's popular - and scamming many who expect to get a pet shipped to them.
Cinder
Ugh--that's awful. When we decided to adopt a couple of cats we were fortunate to have several friends who'd worked with a local rescue shelter and were happy to recommend that place. It worked well for us, but I think finding a cat is easier than finding the right dog. I hope you find the right dog for your family. :grouphug:
