Can we talk about an Instant Pot? Would it be something a bit so great cook would use?

I struggle with cooking dinner for my family. Both picky kids and lack of time make dinner time frustrating. I keep seeing IP recipes that look good. Do you think owning one would make my life easier or more frustrating?

 

Also, if you have a great, family favorite recipe to share, I'd love to see it.

Yes I got mine to make dinner easier. It generally dors, but to do fancier things you might have to experiment a bit.

It really helps with the time problem. When slow cooking you can start dinner in the morning and not worry about it. When time crunched at dinner time you can pressure cook something quickly.

 

An easy favorite Chicken Tortilla Soup. put a cut up chicken in the pot. Cover with water. Add salt. Cook until done. Everyone customizes their own bowl with things like beans, corn, cheese and favorite salsa. Then pour chicken broth over it and add some meat. Top with crumbled tortilla chips.

Yes. It's a set it and forget it kind of device. It's also a "oops, I forgot I was supposed to soak those beans beforehand and it's time to make dinner" kind of device. There's an InstantPot social group here. Definitely head over there and join up.

I love mine.  I love to cook, but I still have plenty of days I have no time or I don't want to.  It makes my life easier especially on those days.
