Can one retake a CLEP exam?

Dd is thinking of transferring to the state flagship.  She took the CLEP to get out of first-semester College Writing at CC, which also was accepted at her current university.

At the flagship, however, she'd need to have scored 3 points higher on the CLEP to place out of first-semester college writing.  She took it for the first time three years ago, when she was a rising junior in high school.  Can she take it again to try for a higher score?  Seems silly to have to take freshman writing it at this point...

Some colleges will not accept retakes though. My son did not study at all before he took the Spanish CLEP to meet the foreign language entrance requirement for our state universities. He easily scored high enough to fulfill the admissions requirement, but only missed by one point getting credit for three quarters of second year college Spanish, instead he only got credit for two. This could have become an issue with his honor's college if he hadn't chosen one of the few majors that were exempt from the foreign language requirement of two years of college level coursework or the equivalent, even for a BS degree. But when we checked, they said they would not accept a score from a retake. If he ever needed credit for the final quarter, he would have to take the class.

Looking a little closer, it might not be necessary for her to retake.  Looks like they only require one semester of College Writing, and she took College Writing II (and Honors at that) at the CC.  If that checks the box, she'll be fine.

She will have to take another Bio-related course because her 3 on AP Bio will not be counted as it has at her current school.  Looks like it can be a fairly fluffy one, though.

Sigh.  It appears the flagship has NO transfer scholarships.  Nothing comes up even if I search.  Not that they give out any merit aid even for incoming freshman, but for transfers it appears completely ignored.  I also can't find any information for transfers that are not from one of the mini-flagships or a community college with an AA or AS degree or international. NO information on transferring from a lowly 4-yr state university (or from anywhere else in the country).  And the flagship is about $8K a year more than her current school (and she could probably graduate a year early if she stayed where she is, but no way if she transfers...), so that will be a lot more money...  Sigh.
