RootAnn Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 DD#2 is editing her girl-with-horse chapter book for the third or fourth time and it is slow going. As motivation, I was wondering if some WTM families with kids who love horses and reading would volunteer to read one chapter a week of her book? It would motivate her to get the chapters done & help to get some more feedback on the book. There are 24-25 chapters (not sure if that includes the epilogue), so this might be a long-term commitment. They would come to your email as a PDF each week. The chapters range from two pages to closer to four or five pages. There are occasional hand-drawn pictures in some chapters. If they don't like it, you can ask to be removed from the email list at any time and you don't have to provide feedback every week - just as the kids offer it. The feedback can be positive or negative, specific or general, as long as it is constructive. (The grammar might not be great and there might be some typos. You can offer suggestions on those if you want.) If you are interested, please PM me your email address. I'll probably send the first chapter on Friday or Saturday. Thank you for your help!! 1 Quote
Rachel Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 What age audience is the book intended for? My 6 year old would love that subject, but is definitely a beginning reader. I don't mind reading to her, but want to make sure she is in the age range of the intended audience. Quote
RootAnn Posted September 24, 2016 Author Posted September 24, 2016 Good question. All of our kids listen in, but the intended age range is 8-13. If they like books like Pony Pals or Saddle Club, they would be the right audience. 1 Quote
