busymama7
I will be using level 1 with two of my kids this fall and because of the busyness of our schedule with 5 students, I think it will work best for me to read the days lit assignment the day before in the afternoon and then complete the lesson as part of our table time the next morning. I dont want to lug around the book with us so I was going to make a chart of reading assignments that I can print on one page and put in a sheet protector in our reading basket. I need to remove all obstacles to get done what we need to. Does something like this already exist? thanks!
Holly
Honestly, I probably wouldn't even worry about a schedule. With a few exceptions, they generally read 3 chapters per week. A few books will schedule 2 chapters each lesson (so 6 total for the week). It's really not a bit deal if they are a little behind or ahead. The literature books are just used for copywork, dictation, and grammar exercises, so it's not an issue if they aren't lined up exactly.
silver
I know it exists as an appendix in Wayfarers. Maybe download a sample and see if it's there? If not, she has shared it in the yahoo group, you could probably email her and ask for a copy.
busymama7
Thank you. I will ask her. I can't just wing it for level one as they read various Beatrix potter stories and just so stories etc. not in a specific order. I also looked at jungle book and it's half chapters in some places. The only book we had scheduled like that was Blue Fairy Book, and we ended up skipping several of them due to time.
