Seasider
Running near empty over the usual end-of-year, end-of-season activities and performances, a summer cold coming on with the dratted tickly throat, receiving some news today that will require me to face a challenging situation, nursing a strained rotator cuff, and facing four loads of clean laundry waiting to be folded... all have me wanting to just sit still for a bit with a glass of wine this evening. Alas, no wine. I do have a split of champagne in the fridge, a souvenir from a recent event I attended. I am seriously considering stirring in a packet of Emergency-C and calling it a mimosa. How are y'all relaxing tonight?
heartlikealion
It's been a day here. Dd ran and slipped in the mud before I could stop her in the yard so that ended our outside fun fast. I finally got around to doing history with ds once dh was home to watch dd and I fell asleep reading aloud to him!! Woke up long enough to finish the lesson but not do any more school with him. Now we're getting ready to eat a late, late night dinner. Today is ridiculous. Dh is cooking but I don't know that the relaxing has started as dd is still up (I think she actually took a nap while I was with ds). But I do see some relaxing in sight. I hope you can nip the cold in the bud and that the challenging situation isn't so bad. When I feel a cold coming on I tend to gargle or drink diluted grapefruit seed extract. But I think the Emergen-C should help.
mamiof5
Must be the time of the year! I haven't had a chance to relax yet...dishes await. Debating about leaving them for tomorrow and having a glass of wine and a few yogurt pretzels. Hope you made your mimosa...need to fight that cold :)
Chocomom63
Sorry you're having a rough time. I'm feeling the same - I was hoping since it was our month off school I'd have more time to get some projects done....nope. We've all been sick with nasty colds the last two weeks so that cut into time drastically. I'm just now feeling like getting around to doing stuff. The first part of the month I was just so darn tired, got sick, and now feeling better and more energetic so getting a few more things done. We have so many things coming up over the next couple of months, but when you have kids the busy-ness never really ends does it? Anyway - hope you enjoyed your drink last night. I have a beer in the fridge so I've got provisions too. :-) Hope you can find more down time in your days and that you get to feeling better.
