Isabella
Hi all, I have to choose an award winning picture book published from 2010 onwards for an assignment on analysing writing. Anyone have any good recommendations? Thanks in advance! :-)
HomeAgain
Have you checked the Caldecott list? http://www.ala.org/alsc/awardsgrants/bookmedia/caldecottmedal/caldecotthonors/caldecottmedal Our library also keeps lists of other awards (like ones given out by the state or literary agencies). You might check yours.
Isabella
True! My brain must be overworked that I didn't even think of my local library! Thank you. I also thought that the WTM has a little higher standards regarding excellent books. I mean, books might win awards, but I don't necessarily think they are all amazingly written. :leaving:
lovinmyboys
The Charlotte Zolotow award is given each year for a picture book with great text (the Caldecott is more the pictures and how they help the text). We liked the winner this year (Drum Dream Girl) and last year (Sparky!)
