theelfqueen
Hoping this won't jinx it!!! The one who always says "I don't know." when asked if he has any career aspirations, any desire to go to college, etc... The kid who said he'd like to go to college only so he can do the Disney College program. That kid? He told me economics is the most interesting thing he has ever studied. It 'clicks with how his brain works'. And he wants to know about careers in economics. Luckily for him, one of DH's good friends is married to a great economic mind who has done AMAZING things in her career and is currently a professor. So we have a lead for someone to discuss that with. So our very basic Intro to Economics class may be blossoming into something more in depth and advanced. :)
Pegasus
Woo-hoo! Congrats! My students have still only come up with a list of things they do NOT want to do. It's great when they discover something that they get excited about.
