Mandamom Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 (edited) I am leaving for NYC tomorrow from Maryland by Megabus. I am wondering if anyone knows the conditinons of the roads/sidewalks, etc. in the city. I'm a little worried about the shoes I was going to wear but I may not have much of a choice. My snow boots and shoveling have messed up my feet (blisters, bruised toes, etc.) and I don't have the time or money to get new shoes, especially with 3 kids tagging along. Thanks, Edited January 28, 2016 by Mandamom Quote
GinaPagnato Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 You'll be fine. Most everything is cleared off sidewalks, although there will be residual slush from melting snow and spray from cabs. It will be messy, but not snowy. If you're careful to sidestep the puddles and possibly make little leaps in the crosswalks, you'll be okay. Have fun! Quote
Tanaqui Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 The corners are slushy, but the sidewalks are cleared... at least in Manhattan, where the city is more or less vigilant about ticketing. Quote
3 ladybugs Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Yeah I heard on the news that the bicycles that are rented are starting to open up. If you can ride a bike through the city, it has to be fairly good! Quote
Mandamom Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 Thank you all. I'm looking forward to the trip and the kids are especially excited. Quote
