Edited - the third one I linked was the duplicate of the second.  I guess I copied that third one wrong.  I found these by searching for tavern...plenty of them in Wmsbg.

Thanks for these - but neither of them is the one I am looking for. It is much more recent - within the last 4-6 months. There were recommendations for local restaurants.

Anyone else have any ideas?

TechWife...I owe you a PM!!!    So far overdue it is ridiculous...  Mea culpa!

I look forward to hearing from you when you have time! I hope you're doing well.

I found this thread, I don't think it's the one I was looking for but it has some restaurant ideas in it, so I'm linking it for the next person who looks for the answer to this same question!

So - this is what we did:

Cracker Barrel for dinner 1st night - same as it is everywhere

The Cheese Shop for lunch 1st day - sandwiches for lunch, fantastic quality, great price

Christiana Campbell's Tavern for dinner 2nd night - need reservations, Colonial Williamsburg, high price, great service, great quality, seafood

Blue Talon Bistro for lunch the 2nd day - large variety on menu, some French foods, some typical American foods, served brunch items and regular lunch menu on Saturday at lunch. Average prices to slightly higher prices (similar in price to Chili's or Applebees for most items).

Of these, I would eat at any of them again and would either eat the same items or try different ones.

Thanks for your help, everyone!
