KungFuPanda
If this winter is anything like last, there will be snow to clear. We are surrounded by elderly neighbors and DH has a blood pressure scare recently. I don't want him out there shoveling the neighborhood all winter. Can any of you recommend a snowblower that works really well but isn't overkill for short, suburban driveways? I'm thinking now is the time to square this away before winter comes and inventories are low.
MyHandsAreFull
Ooh! I'm listening in--first winter in the new state and definitely going to need a snowblower!
gingersmom
I got an electric snowblower 2 years ago and I love it. It's light and easy to push and gets the job done. I think it was around $300 (or less). I read reviews on Home Depot and Lowes.
Ottakee
How much snow are we talking? 2 inches at a time or 12+? We love our snow blower on our riding lawnmower but that is likely overkill for most people.
KungFuPanda
We're in the mid-atlantic, so the winters aren't generally known to be harsh, but the last few years have been miserable. We mostly get a few inches at a time. On the rare occasions we get a foot of snow, the world shuts down and we wouldn't have to get out for a day or two. Also, we just don't have the room to store anything much larger than a lawn mower. A riding mower would be laughable around here.
