Tuna Salad on Crackers with some kind of fruit..

Salami and Swiss Cheese on Saltines, also with Fruit

We make things like Black Bean and Corn Salad, and or Pasta Salad, and just bring plastic-ware to eat it with

Mediterranean Chicken Wraps ( Tortilla wraps with hummus, lettuce, cooked chicken, tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, and feta cheese) Or there are many other kind of Wraps to make, just google, and different kinds will pop up.

Baby carrots / snow peas and individual hummus or ranch dressing packs

We took meals with us for years when the kids did theater. One of the most popular items- chicken tenders that I coated with panko and either baked or fried, then kept in the fridge to take with us cold.   They could be eaten cold with a honey mustard dip, wrapped in a tortilla with stuff added, etc.  Ds loved them dipped into spaghetti sauce- great way to use up a little leftover sauce.

Tortilla wraps cut into bite sized pieces are always a hit because a kid can take one or two quickly when they have no time to eat a whole wrap...making it easier to get a meal into them in small time segments.

pasta salad with chicken added is hearty main dish salad.  Plus pasta salad can be a good way to use whatever you have lingering in the fridge...a few cherry tomatoes, carrot bits, diced cheese, etc.
