Aretemama
I accidentally posted this in the College Forum earlier today. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with this? A question for those homeschooling in California - Do you list any of your classes as a-g, either classes at home or from a charter school? Who certifies that they are a-g? Is it only an accredited school that can list a-g courses? Do those of you who R4 not have this option or are you just not interested? Our particular charter school will not list a class as a-g unless it is taken at their site, even if the student is using the same books, doing the same labs, etc... I'm really curious if anyone has tried to have their own classes a-g certified similar to an AP course?
chiguirre
I'm not in CA and I have zero experience with this, but I saw that BYU offers UC accredited courses when I was checking out their site: https://is.byu.edu/site/about/uc/index.cfm? West Coast Mom
I'm following because we are in CA, file an R4, and I'm trying to figure this out for my oldest.
Arcadia
"A-G Course Criteria California high schools, online schools and designated programs and publishers can submit their courses to UC for “a-g†approval using the A-G Course Management Portal (CMP). Approval is based on the course meeting the following subject-specific course criteria established by the UC faculty" More info here http://ucop.edu/agguide/updating-your-course-list/school-district-program/index.html ETA: UCScout by UC have instructor led a-g courses and AP courses which are $149 for California students. http://www.ucscout.org/courses
