Carrousel
Looking at the LA samples for CLE, and it shows one "lesson" about 5 pages. Is this one day;s worth of work, or a week or what? Is the "Section" a week? How many lessons are in a Section? How many Sections in a Light Unit? Trying to understand without ever having seen it IRL. https://www.clp.org/documents/5487/original/Language_Arts_301.pdf
FriedClams
One lesson a day. Each light unit has a sequence that goes like this... (If I remember correctly...) Lessons 1-5 Quiz 1 Lessons 6-10 Quiz 2 Lessons 11-14 Review (Pretest?) 15 Test The quizes are in the back of the LU, the test is in the middle. HTH!

alisoncooks
Thanks! That helps me understand the flow of it. The lessons are fairly long, but then you are combining several things: a page or two for the new grammar info the We Remember section is all review and can be done independently (for older children) a page for spelling a small section for handwriting... shernandez
The lessons do seem long, but usually only take us 20 minutes to complete. We do cross out spelling sections (we use something else) and penmanship (until they teach cursive).
