plain jane
I am looking at Pandia Press Biology level 2 for a 6th grade child. We are travelling right now and Internet is spotty so I haven't been able to her a clear look at the samples. What does the give have to say about the grade level appropriateness of this program? Is it solid for 6th? A bit too easy? I've used all the elementary ones and found they were good for the lower end of the I stated age ranges (Life science was good for grade 1, too easy for grade 3, etc). Is this the same for the Bio level 2? Would I feel confident my child was getting a solid education if I were to go through this program with her in 6th, or should I look for something else? She has a good science background as I've been consistent with science in the past.
Jilly
It is a solid middle school level science course, and I would be comfortable letting my 5th to 7th grader use it.
Ethel Mertz
Totally solid course. DS started it as a 6th grader and will be finishing it up on a 7th grade level.
serendipitous journey
I agree that it is solid for 6th. The 5-7 range given above seems good.
