wehave8
Looking for 8, 10, 12 year old boys. I was planning on SL (I like TOPS and Lyrical Science), but now I am thinking Apologia WITH Lyrical Science and CGC. Any recommendations??? Anyone have a plan of using these together? LindaOz
I know this is different to what you asked, but have you seen Science in the Beginning by Jay Wile? It's working great with my ds10. It has an activity/experiment with every lesson and notebooking suggestions at different levels for different ages. Pam See, CGC would interest *me* the most, all by itself, just for the sake of simplicity. And the boys are young enough that even if it seemed "weak," there are still many years left to go deeper. If they enjoy what they do, they'll learn to love it, and then they'll want to know more. That's my theory, anyway. :D

Lately they have been taking back packs, notebooks, field guides, tape recorder, and binoculars to the swamp and sitting, watching birds, beavers, duck, etc. I haven't even had to 'teach' it! :) Pam

It was okay, but I did not like the flow of the next 2 books at all, so we didn't continue with it . Thanks for the suggestion, though. mumto2
Our family loved doing CGC. It is a curriculum that seems simple but is actually not.
