Soapy
We are just about wrapping up MiF for second grade and I'm really thinking about spending the rest of the year with Miquon and perhaps BA 3a. If you have two kids in the same level, do they both need their own practice books? I'm assuming that we can share the main text, but they'd need their own practice books. I thought I'd get the general opinion here from folks that have had their hands on the actual books before submitting my order. Thanks! I only have 1 child in Beast, but I thought the way we do it may work for you. I have a cover that slips over each page, and my dd uses a dry erase marker on the problems in the practice book. I do this since some of the problems she has to erase and start over after her first try doesn't work out. She also likes it when I copy the problem onto our big white board since it's easier for her to work standing up for some reason.
sweetpea3829
We do what Becky does. Actually, I do this with all of my consumables. I remove the binding, three-hole punch the pages, and then I slip them into dry erase pockets when the kids are going to do them. I don't use dry erase markers, they frustrate the kids too much (because they erase too easily). Instead, I use Vis-A-Vis fine point wet erase markers. These. Actually, they're on sale right now! At the end of the day, I wipe them off and stick them all in a red folder. Every two weeks, I refile the pages...lol. I put a small initial on the top corner of each page, so I know who's done what. go_go_gadget
Mine didn't need to do that many problems, and so older did the odds and younger did the evens.
Miss Tick
Or, buy two copies of the practice books. :-)
zarabellesmom
I would buy two if they are going to be working at the same time. Copying some things to a whiteboard is impractical when they are puzzles. I'm all about saving time even if it does cost a little extra. Lisa in the UP of MI
You could make it work if buying two would be a burden, but I think it would be best to have two copies of the practice book.
Farrar
There's no way my kids would tolerate writing on a plastic sleeve. A few of the pages have puzzles that are visual that would be tricky to do in an assignment book, though I guess most of them you could do in a notebook. Which is to say, I would get two. Soapy
Thanks all! Seeing as our earlier Miquon pdf printing days weren't our best, I'm guessing I am better off with two practice books.
