Spy Car
Thanks Lolly, JFS, and Gretchen :001_smile: It is a pretty rose, no? It is called "Marianne", and is a rather rare rose bred by Paul Barden (an important, if little known [outside the old rose community] American hybridizer). It is a cross between the old Gallica (better called a Hybrid China) rose Duchesse de Montebello and the modern David Austin rose Abraham Darby. Mine is very "washed-out" color-wise, as it was taken during an extreme (and early heat-wave) this Spring. But in normal circumstance, the color is really deep and unique. Too much information? :tongue_smilie: Bill
Book Crazy
I'm not a person who normally likes roses, but that is a very pretty rose.
