Spryte
I have a frozen bag of chicken parts that I plan to use for broth. Do I need to thaw them before cooking? I would thaw chicken before cooking, so I think yes. Brain not quite working today... We all have the flu. How would you thaw these, quickly? Toss the chicken into the pot with however much water you use to make your stock, and away you go!
happypamama
No need to thaw, but if you did want to, I'd do it in the microwave on a defrost setting, or under running water.
Tammyla
I would toss them into the crockpot and let them cook away.
