Alicia64
My gov't understanding is lame. I get the three branches, the House and the Senate, but I want more for my boys. Do you have a suggestion for interesting government studies curriculum for an 11 yr. old? Thank you!! Alley
guilfordlake
I have no suggestions but would be interested in something like this myself.
Kristie in Florida
I was just discussing this with my husband this morning and I have no idea. I'm listening in as well.

Tsuga
So sad... I was going to recommend actual studied, like those done by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, which does some of the most amazing social science ever. I now see that that is not appropriate. For learning about the US government, I'd go to their website! http://kids.usa.gov/government/
kbutton
Notgrass Uncle Sam and You. It's for middle school. We do the extra readings and the lit, but we don't do the writing and stuff like that.
Incognito
Information for an immigrant who is working to become a citizen (test prep stuff) is a good way to go. Usually not too difficult a reading level. Full of clear, basic information, but with an adult target audience.
