Dramorellis
We currently use MiF 3a and BA 3b and my 8 year old wants to do more math centered games. He enjoys the ones throughout the chapters in MiF but he says there are not enough of them or we can't do them because we don't have enough people. So what would you recommend along those lines to incorporate into math games once a week? I've found a couple in Pinterest but he bores of those after a few times so I need new ideas. Computer based games will not work. He needs things we can do together and that are hands on. Any suggestions please as I am just not sure of where to look. kiana
I'd look into the Rightstart games. http://store.rightstartmath.com/mathcardgames4thedition.aspx
Farrar
The various games from Muggins are good. And many of the Gamewright Games are mathy - their games such as Zeus on the Loose and Rat-a-Tat-Cat were my kids' favorites at that age. Miss Tick
My dc like Go To The Dump, which I think came originally from Right Start? We also had some fun with Math Dice and Double Shutter.
Dramorellis
Thanks! These are super helpful. I bought Albert's Insomnia and Zeus on the Loose on Amazon. I think those are going to be a hit. We already have math dice and double shutter.
Goldilocks
My kids love to play the game 99. It is played with a regular deck of cards. We play similar to this http://www.cuppacocoa.com/math-game-99/.
