butterfly113
Does it matter whether odds or even are assigned? I know the answers to odds are in the back of the book. We also have a solutions manual, so from that stand point we can do either... Since ds is a STEM student, we will do all of the word problems... just wondering on the others... Is there a difference in the level of difficulty in problems?
Sunshine State Sue
I don't think it matters. I generally had ds do the evens due to cheating issues... Foerster's rocks!
kiana
Does not matter. Depends on whether your student is the type who will use the answers in the back of the book properly or use them to cheat. Proper use = work the problem, check answer in back of book afterwards, if wrong, re-work problem looking for mistake. Improper use = look at the answer in the back of the book, reverse-engineer the work (if work is required) to find "work" for the answer, or worse yet, just write down the answer. That's why only the answer without work is wrong in this situation!

Momling
We do odds. If my daughter misses a problem, I often have her do the corresponding even problem which is usually similar. Also, as someone here suggested last year, we do all of the word problems. It's worked out great so far and I'm happy with the program. MicheleinMN
We did the odd numbered problems on odd days and the even numbered ones on even days. :) Actually, I don't remember how we split up the problems, but I don't recall doing just even or odds for Foerster's Algebra. We did the even/odd when we used Saxon though.
