Flowergirl159
If you do memory work together as a group, do you have your kids do independent memory work as well?
Rachel
Mine are 6,4, & 2 and we do memory work together but I'm really only wanting the oldest to memorize right now. The 4 year old is really good at it though.
aaplank
Yes, I keep a binder with all the memory work that we've done so far, separated in portions of Bible passages and verses, poems, timeline, etc. We go over new memory work together and they have to review portions of the older work independently. FriedClams
No. I'll be super honest - my kids do well when we so it together but it gets dropped when its a solo project. I guess I /could/ expect them to review on their own, but it's so, so, so much faster and more effective as a group that I don't bother. Mystie
No, we only do it as a group during our Circle Time all together. 45ish minutes a day is enough. :) I'd rather they use their independent work time for reading and writing.
Walking-Iris
I've kept a master list of various things to work on for each child. They do it separately most times, sometimes together. I need to make it a regular part of the day--up to now it's been hit or miss.
Goldilocks
We have always done it together. When I tried to save the time in our school day and incorporate the memory work throughout the day along with the subjects that it matches with, it didn't work. We were in such a routine for our other subjects I could never remember to add in memory work too. We do memory work mid-morning and incorporate a snack. The kids listen to each other's memory work and get a good review, or learn future memory work.
