mindygz
Due to general slowness of lesson instruction, we are just finishing FLL4 with my dd12. I'm trying to decide what to do for 7th grade grammar. Wondering if JAG or AG would be better for her? Anyone have personal experience? My ds9 is more on track with FLL, so he will be ready for something non-FLL in 5th grade, so I wondered if it would be good to go through JAG with my daughter so I'd have it for my son. Thanks for any suggestions/insight!
Murrayshire
Was the slowness due to dd having trouble at all with grammar? If not, I would transition into AG and not JAG for her. Even if she did have trouble, I would still have her begin in AG. You may find that your 5th grader will be fine transitioning into AG too. Your 5th grader could just do Season 1 and only do odd or even at a slower pace.
fourisenough
I agree with Murrayshire. I think FLL4 = JAG so I would move each of your children directly into AG as a next step.
mom@shiloh
My 12 yo did the first section of AG this year and it worked great for him. I'd also recommend going right into AG. You can move at your own pace with it.
mindygz
Thank you! Sounds like AG is the way to go. She does pretty well with grammar. Slowness was mostly due to challenges in getting the lessons into our schedule (especially during year 1 of our twins' lives!).
