PollyOR
I told my girls we would wait until public school starts (Sept. 3) to begin ourselves. But, I confessed to them today that waiting is driving me crazy! They weren't thrilled, but they weren't surprised either. ;)

susie in tx
My kids would have said the same thing. This year, I wanted to start on July 1. Then, it was July 15. Then, it was after my nephew was here in August. LOL We did finally start. And I really wanted to start in July. We'll be taking a break in November and I wanted to get as much schooling in as possible before then.
JFSinIL
tell them that if you start NOW...they can have more days off during the year to do fun things while the other kids are in school....or start summer vacation early.
melmac
I give you permission to start with 1 to 3 subjects, that way you can slowly work up to a full workload. :)
StacyinKS
We have been doing 1-2 subjects this week just to help us get back into the swing of things and I am so glad that we did. We will be officially starting Next Week.
DawnUK
We started this week. I give the kids the option to start two weeks early and then take an extra two weeks at Christmas, giving us a total of four weeks for Christmas. They always take the option, and having a month to bake cookies and go ice skating is fabulous. Maybe your kiddos would go for that option! --Dawn
Carrie12345
I've been having a hard time stalling, too. DS can't really officially start until Sept. 2, so I've just been doing little bits and pieces of "warm up" work with everyone. Mostly just reading books and doing a little of the lessons we plan to skip.
