Guest gior1075
Which method do you prefer, the Spalding or Barton? I'm trying to figure out which route is the best way to go and would love some advice!
Ellie
Well, doesn't Barton cost a boatload of money??? You can get everything you will ever need to teach Spalding for less than $50. I, of course, prefer Spalding. :D I'm sure Barton is an excellent method, too; I just don't see that it is worth that much money.
Julie of KY
I can't compare to Spalding, but I have found Barton easy and successful with multiple kids.
City Mouse
I think barton is great for what it was designed to do, but it is way too expensive (and too slow paced) for most kids that do not have a reading issue.
KellieK
I use Barton for my dyslexic dd, but use Spalding with the ones who do not have a learning challenge. I am borrowing it a level at a time from a friend. I do not think it is necessary if it is not "needed."
Tracy
There is no way I would spend all that money on Barton without first trying Spalding. Spalding is a top-notch program for both struggling and gifted learners alike.
