melhouse
be a horrible thing? My dd did General Science in 8th grade, and we have planned to do Biology in 9th. Is it okay to skip the Physical Science? Thanks, Melissa
Karenciavo
My oldest went into AP Biology in 9th grade with *very* little science before hand and did very well. We did a few unit studies over the years, otherwise I just let him read what ever struck his fancy and watch Science channel, etc.

Is it okay to skip the Physical Science? Thanks, Melissa Technically, I believe that each Apologia course could be completed without the previous courses. There are instances in each book where Dr. Wile talks about something he covered in a previous book (or something that will be covered in a follow-on book), but he is really good about giving you all the information you "need" for the current book (tests or questions). Additionally, I know a number of people that skip Physical Science. . . Honestly, I find that a shame, as I enjoy Physical and Physics ("gag me" with Biology and Chemistry), but to each his own. FloridaLisa
The year he *could* have done Physical Science, we did delight-directed projects. He went into Apologia biology without a hitch. Lisa
Holly IN
I skipped Physical science. About 75% of the book we already covered so I felt it was a waste of my money to do that course unless I can find a Physical science book at a really good bargain price we would do it quickly during summer.
