ThoughtfulMama
I'm looking for a set of printables or a book of fun, easy logic puzzles for DS (5). My google search didn't pull up the simplicity that I'm looking for (a single box with 3X3 or 4X4). Of course, I could create my own, but chances are time will get in the way. Does anybody have a resource for me?
quark
Have you already tried Mindbenders? Is this the kind of puzzle you mean? e.g. Book1 and Book
ThoughtfulMama
Yes, thank you! I haven't tried anything yet. I'm just thinking back to the puzzles I did in GATE as a child and thought he would enjoy some. His total exposure so far has been on restaurant kid placemats :)
quark
He might enjoy Mindbenders then. Kiddo liked parts of the sudoku materials from Activity Village at that age too. Have fun! :)
JohannaM
The MindWare Grid Perplexors books have a Basic level which might work for you. Johanna
morgan
Mindbenders were a hit with my dd when she was 5, but I have to warn you, if your kid is good at those type of puzzles, the books don't last long. Places like enchanted learning http://www.enchantedlearning.com/math/logic/puzzles/ and http://kids.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Printable_Logic_Puzzles_for_Kids have some easy ones, but they aren't as simple looking as Mindbenders. But then again, they are free.

La Texican
I looked up what the grid puzzles are, and I don't know if this helps or not. We like playing the board game Clue. It's not quite the same, but it looks like maybe it teaches the same idea. It's elimination anyway.
Julie of KY
Logic Safari is a good series of puzzles for different ages.
ThoughtfulMama
Thank you all! I have printed him some for some of your resources, and he loves them! Now to decide if he will blow through one of these books too quickly to make it worth the cost :)
Kareni
Our local state university has the MindBenders books in its curriculum collection. You might use WorldCat to see if any of the books are at a library near to you. Or perhaps inter-library loan might be a possibility. Regards, Kareni
