Does this type of pillow exist?

I am a side sleeper who is desperately looking for a new pillow so I can try to get a better night's sleep. I like the memory foam one I tried but it kept the shape (indention of my head) too long when I moved and the smell! I can't take the smell!! Even after days of airing out.

Is there anything out there that offer the features of memory foam that aren't made of polyurethane foam? I need to be able to try and return if it doesn't work. I am hard to buy for in this area.

I know you said you didn't care for the memory foam, and I'm not a huge fan of it either - if it's low quality.  But check out the Tempurpedic Symphony pillow.  This pillow is awesome.  I always use the concave side, but I love that it also has the option of convex on the other side.  I'm very sensitive to pillow shape/size - the wrong one can have me in pain all the next day.  I love this one so much that I take it with me every time we travel.  It's not cheap, but for me it's been worth every penny.

I lurve my shredded latex pillows from Costco. Did you try washing yours? Mine smell much better after washing. I threw them in the washer and let them dry in the sun.

I use a contoured pillow. It's the only way I have ever been able to sleep comfortably.
