Night Elf
Boy, when they say they want you within 2 lbs. on either side of your goal weight, they aren't kidding. When I weighed in last week, i was 2 lbs. below the lowest number of my range. The woman looked so concerned. She asked if I was trying to lose more weight but i said no. She proceeded to ask about my appetite and ended up suggesting I make an appointment with my doctor to talk about unexpected weight loss. Well, after I left, it occurred to me that I had gone on a low carb diet. It's not extremely low like Atkins, but I just make sure my grams of carbs are not more than 150 a day. That was orders from my doctor when she found me prediabetic. It never occurred to me to tell the lady at WW that my diet had changed because it was my new normal. So now we'll see if I maintain this weight or gain a couple of pounds back so I can weigh in without being fussed at. If I continue to lose, or maintain below my goal anyway, I don't know how they'd handle it. I assume they would ask me to change my goal weight to accommodate my new weight. I know if I do want to lose weight, I have to name a goal below where I am and start paying for meetings again. But I don't want to do that. I like getting everything for free. I guess I'll see what happens in March. Dd15 suggested I have a feast of cupcakes before I weigh in!
Butter
Or drink water right before weighing. Some places are more laid back about being +/- 2 pounds. Others are super strict. If you go down more explain the doctor-prescribed diet and it's not anything you are trying to do for weight (but rather for health). Twigs
If I were low I would put on heavy clothes and put stuff in my pockets (like rocks or something else really heavy - I'm serious). I fluctuate more than 2 pounds a day, I think that WW rule is too narrow. Great job on your weight loss!
MelAR05
One of the leaders at our WW meetings always stays 7 lbs below her goal weight as a cushion. No one ever says anything. The main leader said that if you go below your goal weight and stay there that they would adjust your goal weight to your new weight. I guess the only concern one of the leaders might have is if you were falling into the underweight category.
Night Elf
I am definitely no way near being underweight. My "normal" weight range is 128 to 160. The last time I was 128 was about 20 years ago.
