This is an excerpt from something my daughter wrote last week, and I am wondering if it is punctuated correctly with respect to the quotation marks. Thank you in advance!!Her writing sample: One year the hardworking ants were storing food for the winter, but the lazy grasshoppers weren’t stockpiling their food. “Winter is coming,†the industrious ants warned the grasshoppers. “We have plenty of time,†the grasshoppers calmly replied. Before they knew it winter brought snow, ice, and freezing winds. Nervously, the grasshoppers couldn’t find any food.
