shanvan
Before I start my research, thought I'd ask here. Ds loves to write--fiction and non-fiction. Does anyone have a list or a resource to point me to that will give me an idea of places to submit his writing. I'm talking about essays and stories. Mom22ns
If he'd like to try Flash Fiction, there is a contest every Friday hosted by a WTM mom here. It is not a high school writing contest, by my ds has written there. The feedback is excellent. She posts a new picture prompt along with the rules for the week Friday morning. Sebastian (a lady)
We had good luck last year with a local contest. We saw the flyer at the library. Deadline was over the summer so probably not a ton of pushing from schools. One son got 2nd place and the other honorable mention. This was a county wide contest. The DAR has a contest (deadline in October or November ) that often doesn't get many entries. Entries go through a chapter.
