MeaganS
For a while, I've had art from Ambleside Online that I keep on the wall in our dining room for 3 or 4 months at time. They are usually about 6 or 7 paintings and a few times a week I'll point to them and have dd tell me the name of the painting and who it is by (that's about the level we're at right now). I thought it would be a good idea to do an art study unit of famous landmarks. I'm sticking with manmade ones. I've come up with a pretty good list, I think, but I thought I'd see if you guys could suggest any that are important that I might want to consider: Colleseum Parthenon Statue of Christ the Redeemer Easter Island Statues Great Wall of China Stonehenge Taj Mahal Statue of Liberty Chichen Itza Mayan Temple Pyramids of Giza Arc de Triomphe Eiffel Tower Thanks! lorisuewho
This is such a great idea. I have this single volume of Childcraft called "Places to Know" that I got off of ebay really cheaply. It has pretty good photographs and nice descriptions of various places. It might be helpful to you in your studies.
