jeninok
My husband just got stung by a wasp for the first time ever, he has also never been stung by a bee. I Put witch hazel on it right away, and some Allegra cream, but I am wondering if I should go grab some benadryl just in case. He has some weird sensitivities, and his biggest allergy is to steroids, topical oral and injectable. How common are reactions to stings? NicAnn
I don't think it's super common, less than bees. If the initial swelling goes don and the pain subsides quickly, I wouldn't think there would be a reaction. Sorries to your husband. I was just stung for the first time a few weeksago. Painful! Flowing Brook
have him soak it in baking soda and salt. I do this when I get stung. By the next day I do not know I have been stung.

wapiti
Probably too late now, but make a paste of baking soda with a few drops of water and put it on the sting area.
