PeacefulChaos
...putting together pieces for Halloween costumes for the kids. When did Halloween become one of my favorite holidays??? Oh, yeah, last year, when I decided to dress up for the first time in 13 years and one of my kids wanted to be something that DIDN'T come in a cheapy prepackaged set. Yeah, that's when Halloween gets fun... :) I still haven't decided what I'm going to be... I have a secret pinterest board dedicated to it lol. And another one for the kids for this year. One does still want to be prepackaged - Astro/Snake Eyes - but Link wants to be Sora from Kingdom Hearts (in his final form, no less, not his normal one) which I have to piece together, and Pink wants to be Wonder Woman (and I think the homemade ones with tutus are way cuter so I'm choosing to do that one.) Am I totally nuts?
freeindeed
No, you're not nuts! :) We love Halloween, too, ever since we started putting together our own costumes & dressing as characters from the same movie, book, TV show, etc. Last year, we were all Batman characters. In the past, we've been Scooby Doo characters and characters from The Wizard of Oz. This year I think we're all going to be wrestlers from Impact Wrestling. Can't wait! PeacefulChaos
You know, I tried to get the kids to do that this year (at least!) but Pink refused. Once she had her mind set on WW that was it. And the boys refused to go Justice League, though both of them offered to do Kingdom Hearts... but, like I said, Pink wouldn't do it. DH won't do it at all. He just shakes his head at the rest of us. :D :p
Annie G
I used to go all out making costumes for my kids when they were little. Our oldest is 30 and has kids of her own, and tells me every Halloween just how much she appreciates all the work I put into their costumes when they were little. The younger kids have fond memories of our Halloween craziness- and I'm glad we spent the time and money to make those memories. And I'm equally glad those days are over and I'm not planning costumes right now! It cracks me up that you have a Pinterest board for it! Truscifi
I'm jealous! I have to put a final "Tell Me or Don't Get a Costume At All" date on the calendar to get ds to make up his mind. :glare:
