I'm not sure what program they will be using next year but I'd like to help him during the last few weeks of summer. Any suggestions? alisoncooks Posted July 16, 2013 Share Posted July 16, 2013 Well, we tried every phonics program under the sun and have finally settled on Dancing Bears. DD & I like that it's "in & out," 10 minutes & we're done. (We also use the spelling program from this company.) But I guess phonics program recommendations would vary based on the child's specific learning challenges... Also, if you're just looking something to use for the rest of the summer ... honestly, I'd buy a pack of index cards to make some phonogram flash cards, then hunt through Pinterest for some free, phonics game printables. I wouldn't think you'd get far enough to see any results with any program in just a few weeks ... but some phonics games might be fun and helpful. JMO.
