Embassy
My birthday is coming up and I told my kids that on that day we are spending the day doing the subjects or activities I like the best. If you had a day like that what would you choose to do for school that day? Right now I'm planning on doing science (both tracks - CPO and nature-based study), Bible, math (AOPS and Singapore), Spelling (AVKO) and more that I haven't decided on yet :)
Rebel Yell
We would study Time Zones to the West and sleep in until it was breakfast time in Alaska. (we're East Cost.) THen we would have a Home Ec Day where the kids would cook breakfast AND clean it all up. Coffee, Fench toast, turkey sausage. Plus do all of the laundry. Next would be Career Studies. I will polish my toenails and tell them what life was like when I worked in salons. If they actually cleaned up ALL of the dishes, I would do their nails, too. Then if I was really feeling the need for PE, we'd finish the day with Wii Zumba. p.s. Happy Birthday! ENJOY!
Mandy in TN
Hmmm, is silence a subject? I want them to seriously study silence. Perhaps we could call it a day of meditation? ;) Mandy
